Owner / Guide
Cody Brooks
Born and raised in Chatham County N.C., Cody attended N.C. State University after high school. He returned home after college and now helps operate the family cattle farm alongside his dad Randy Brooks. Cody lives on the farm with his wife and
two children. He was introduced to the outdoors at a very young age by his father and the love for the outdoors continued to grow as he got older. Bird hunting over English Pointers became a new passion and in 2020 he was able to turn that passion into a business. He hopes Hickory Mountain Upland Preserve will help pass along the proud tradition of quail hunting in the piedmont of North Carolina.
When hunting with Cody,
hunters can expect to walk behind one of Hickory Mountain’s Elhew bred English
Pointers.

Guide / Operator
Dennis Branson
Dennis Branson lives in Chatham County N.C. with his wife and two kids. He,
along with Cody Brooks, helped get Hickory Mountain up and running. With a love for hunting and the outdoors instilled in him by his father, Dennis brings that same passion on every hunt with his clients. He gets great joy in seeing the smile on a kid’s face
when they harvest their first bird over a point from one of his dogs. Making sure we pass this love for the outdoors down to the next generation is what Dennis strives for.
Dennis and his two English Pointers Mattie and Mojo work hard every time to ensure hunters have a great experience.
